PT Torishima Guna Indonesia attended the National Business Meeting (Rakernas) Indonesian Association of Shipbuilding and Offshore Industry Companies (Iperindo) on 8-9 December 2022 at the Aruna Senggigi Hotel, Lombok.

This Rakernas is filled with various activities, including the signing of an MoU with LSP, and a Seminar entitled Outlook on the National Shipping Industry Amid the Potential for a Global Recession in 2023, by presenting a number of important speakers.

The information and input in this Rakernas helps Iperindo members to deal with the development of the shipping industry in 2023. In line with Iperindo’s encouragement to increase the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) as well as development and collaboration with various parties such as the Indonesian Classification Bureau (BKI), this has also been carried out by PT Torishima Guna Indonesia so far.

Torishima pumps are TKDN certified with an achievement of more than 40% and BKI certified which allows customers to recognize if our pumps are manufactured according to the standards and regulations listed in the BKI. Prove that PT Torishima Guna Indonesia continues to support the development of the Indonesian Shipping Industry.

Palmex Indonesia 2022 is the ideal forum for palm oil industries in Asia that brings together an international congregation of both upstream and downstream palm oil companies and also its supporting industries to showcase the latest developments in the palm oil industry. The event, held on 25– 27^th October at Santika Premiere Dyandra Hotel & Convention Medan – Indonesia, included 150 brands from 5 countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, India, and China) more than 4000 visitors, and 3 days forum sessions to provide a platform for sharing.

This is the first time PT Torishima Guna Indonesia joining Palmex. We showcased 1 booth at this exhibition which were located in the indoor areas, attracted visitors interested in our pump as a supporting players for the palm oil mill industry.

Torishima Indonesia’s Employee Gathering 2022 program at Citeko Puncak – West Java was held on October 1-2, 2022. Attended by 100 employees, this event has run smoothly to build the bond and to boost the spirit to keep up the good work.

With the theme “Cooperate, Care, Responsible & Committed” we hope this activity can strengthen sense of cooperation, caring, responsibility and commitment to improve the quality of work of our employees.

The event started with lunch together and then off-road through the tea plantations in Gunung Mas area. In the evening employees and management had dinner together, followed by fun games and music entertainment. The second day of the activity was filled with team building and ended with rafting on the Kalibaru River.

In the middle of the event, a social activity was also held as a form of corporate responsibility to take an active role in providing benefits to society. Social activity was given to YPA Ar Rohmat which aims to motivate the orphanage children to always be enthusiastic in living life and reaching their goals.

From these two days activity, we hope that employees will become aware and know that they are part of the team. So they are expected to always be compact and solid in carrying out each task so that a good working relationship is established.

If a sense of togetherness is embedded in the hearts of each individual, there will be a sense of mutual help in work, a sense of caring, a sense of loyalty to friends, and mutual respect for one another. PT Torishima Guna Indonesia (PT TGI) dispatched a logistical package assistance as donation for earthquake victims in Cianjur Regency, West Java Province on Friday, November 25, 2022 from the PT TGI Head Office, Jakarta.

This assistance is a form of the company’s concern for earthquake victims in the Cianjur Regency area. PT TGI seeks to be present and help provide logistical package assistance as a form of concrete action in order to ease the burden on disaster victims. The assistance provided included instant food, biscuits, milk, clean water, medicines, blankets, diaper, towels, hygiene kits and money that gathered from Torishima’s employee.

The handover of the assistance was carried out directly by Deni Wendiaman, General Manager of PT TGI, accompanied by Iwan Kurniawan, HR Manager of PT TGI. Aid was handed over symbolically to the nearest post to the location affected by the earthquake.

Hopefully our concern can ease the burden of people who affected by the earthquake in Cianjur, also provide moral encouragement and enthusiasm for them to get up and quickly recover from the effects of the disaster.

On May 31, 2022, our President & CEO Mr.Kotaro Harada and Deputy CEO Mr.Gerry Ashe of Torishima Pump Mf., Co., Ltd. conducted visit to PT Torishima Guna Indonesia (TGI).

The factory visit was held successfully with a detailed schedule to introduce the capabilities of TGI factory, product innovation and improvement quality meeting.

We also took this opportunity to show our “togetherness” as a team and how amazing it is to work with people that share the same passion and values for Torishima.

To ensure that Torishima pumps supplied to our customers in the Marine Industry sector, Badan Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) conducts a direct inspection of PT Torishima Guna Indonesia to prove the consistency of the quality of the Torishima pumps in accordance with the specifications required by BKI regulations.

This is proof that Torishima pumps involved in ship classification have complied with regulations and have quality consistency in accordance with the specifications required by BKI. A Certificate of Approval will then be issued.

PT Torishima Guna Indonesia, represented by Mr. Deni Wendiaman as General Manager, had the opportunity to attend the TKDN Talk Series III with the theme “Supporting National Strategic Projects: Observing the Downstream Oil and Gas Sector” organized by PT Surveyor Indonesia (PT SI) on November 30, 2021.

On this occasion, we as a domestic oil and gas supporting industry share experiences related to TKDN certification. We really appreciate the role of PT SI in helping the Government complete the Downstream Oil and Gas TKDN Limit.

In line with what was conveyed by Mr. Dody Widodo, Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) that industrial business performers, especially oil and gas businesses, must provide opportunities for domestic oil and gas supporting industries that have high TKDN values.

To be known, the achievement of the TKDN value of PT Torsihim Guna Indonesia’s pumps is recorded in the Domestic Product Appreciation Book (APDN Book), which is a book that contains a list of goods, a list of service providers and a list of capabilities local company who already have Oil and Gas SKUP in accordance with the provisions contained in PP Number 35 of 2004 concerning Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities.

The TKDN value of PT Torishima Guna Indonesia’s pumps exceeds 40 percent of the minimum value (according to the provisions based on the Decree of the Director General of Oil and Gas No. 179 K/DJM.S/2014 dated 27 March 2014) in which we categorized pumps as mandatory goods for Upstream Business activities. Oil and gas.

We are optimistic that the implementation of TKDN in the downstream oil and gas industry can be carried out well because it is supported by what has been conveyed by VP Management of Local Content Utilization of PT Pertamina Holding (Persero) Mr. Abdul Manan in his seriousness to form a special function of TKDN at the level of VP in the organization to conduct socialization roadshows and Vendor Day marathons internally.

PT Torishima Guna Indonesia fully supports government programs related to the use of Indonesian-made products and increasing the Domestic Content Level (TKDN). To note, TKDN is the number of components contained in goods, services and a combination of goods and services. Meanwhile, the rules regarding TKDN are contained in Government Regulation (PP) Number 29 of 2018 concerning Industrial Empowerment.

We, as the manufacturer of the Torishima brand pump, have long had a high TKDN value for pump units and for pump packages. This achievement is proof that PT Torishima Guna Indonesia participates in helping the use of local products to empower small and medium industries in the country in the production process.

The achievement of the TKDN value for the Torsihima pump is also registered in the Appreciation Book for Domestic Products (the APDN Book), which is a book containing a list of goods, a list of service providers and a list of the capabilities of domestic producers who already have an Oil and Gas SKUP in accordance with the regulations contained in PP No. 35 of 2004 concerning Upstream Oil and Gas Business activities.

Recently, the number of Covid-19 cases in Jakarta has increased. Many companies have been affected and their employees have contracted the virus. In an effort to prevent COVID-19 within the company, PT. Torishima Guna Indonesia has always consistently implemented the Company Protocol regarding the prevention of Covid-19, in accordance with the Circular Letter (SE) of the Minister of Manpower (reference to M/3/HK.04/III/2020).

Among some important content during the Covid-19 pandemic, companies must adhere to the following rules:
1. Workers with the status of People Under Supervision (ODP) may not come to work for a maximum of 14 days, and their wages are paid in full
2. Workers with suspected Covid-19 status and undergoing quarantine according to the doctor’s statement, are not allowed to work and their wages are paid in full. Workers with Covid-19 as evidenced by a doctor’s letter, are not allowed to work and their wages are paid in full
3. The company limits its business activities in accordance with local government policies. By implementing the above, the company plays a role in preventing and controlling Covid-19.

In addition to health in office and industrial workplaces, PT Torishima Guna Indonesia always follows the rules of the Minister of Health (reference to HK.01.07/MENKES/328/2020), here are some of our programs including:

8. Regulate nutritional intake at work
9. Ensure the workplace is clean and regularly disinfected
10. Maintain air quality and circulation in the workplace Provide plenty of hand washing stations, instructions, educational posters and hand sanitizer
11. Apply a minimum distance of 1 meter at space of work
12. Campaigning for cough etiquette and avoiding the use of personal items at the same time, such as prayer utensils, eating utensils and the like Require all workers to wear masks while working Forbidding workers to come to the office if they show symptoms of Covid-19
13. Fully support employees to carry out vaccines by giving special permission to employees during the vaccination process.
