Torishima Guna Indonesia has a basic philosophy of the company in HSE policies that maintain and make HSE as a culture that is reflected in work behavior.

Ethics that are applied by company states clearly that employee is the most important asset of the company. Therefore, in performing its activities, the company has policy of being responsible at all times socially and ethically by way of protecting safety and health of employees, and also by maintaining good working environment in its surrounding. It is part of the company’s goals to be responsible and receptive to the SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) problems and in accordance with the applied regulations.

To accomplish these Mission, Policy and Goals, PT Torishima Guna Indonesia is determined :

1. To abide by all regulation concerning safety, health, and environment and all other requirement applicable to scope of company’s activities.
2. To take leadership with social awareness and to be an example in performance of safety, health, and environment.
3. To actively cooperate with government bodies and professional institutions to assure timely, sensible and cost effective problem solving.
4. To prevent occurrence of illness and injury to employees by incorporating protection of safety, health, and environment in all aspects of business activities.
5. To design, build, operate and to maintain all facilities according to the standards, to follow good engineering practices, and to implement the principles of risk management to provide safe and healthy workplace and to minimize the risk / to prevent disposal of oil waste / other hazardous materials to the air, water and soil.
6. To train employees on policy, procedures, work instructions and regulations appropriate to their allotted responsibility, with emphasize on individual responsibility of safety, health, and environment management.
7. To preserve natural rescues with good practice of emission and pollution control management.
8. To encage employees to continuously initiate and do open discussion concerning safety , health, and environmental issues as well as to demonstrate the company’s awareness on the issues.
9. To continuously perform evaluation in order to solve SHE problems caused by operation, practices or handlings of hazardous materials.
10. To assure fulfilment of safety, health, and environment through comprehensive implementation of company’s work programs.
11. To record, apply, and maintain, and also to re-evaluate this SHE policy every 1 year through management review.
12. To assure all products supplied by vendor meet safety, health, and environment requirements.

Starting from May 2015 to the present February 2019, with 110 manpower, PT. Torishima Guna Indonesia managed to achieve safe working hours of up to 1,005,995 Working Hours. With total incident 2 cases were in the form of nearmiss in March and October 2018. This is the company’s implementation in achieving zero accident, zero fatality.
